FROM PASTOR STEVEN…
Mother’s Day was a big day at the Wade household (with four mother’s present) and at Poplar Spring. This morning I found an article (here) about why Mother’s Day might be a bad idea by one of my favorite cultural commentators, Al Mohler, and thought I would share it with you. What do you think? Give us your feedback on this one!

There is no way we can ever really thank our mother for all she does for us but can keep in mind of the many sacrifices she made while raising us. Moreso, we can thank God for letting us be honored with the presence of our mother and leave the commercializm out when we honor them. Many times when we do not have money to buy our mother a gift so we need to offer to do something special for her – those are the things God honors when we honor our mother’s in that way. The greatest gift a child can give a mother can’t be bought and that is to accept Christ as you Savior on a mother day in the future. Now that is one that they can’t manafacture on earth (ONLY MADE IN HEAVEN)
